Enjoy Your Life!

images

I went to see Abraham Hicks in Melbourne, Australia, which was absolutely fantastic! I learnt so much from being there listening to Abraham in person and gained so much wisdom from the knowledge that was imparted there. I may even start a separate blog, just to write about all of Abe’s teachings! But the message is always simple and clear with Abraham. Enjoy Your Life! When you begin to enjoy your life and all it has to offer, focusing on the good and ignoring the bad, good things start to happen. They really do! But as human beings I think we have a propensity to focus on the negative first. So it requires a lot of mind training to focus on the positive. But when you do, amazing things start to happen. So if you are lamenting about all the troubles in your life, STOP! Start focusing on all the good things in your life and continue to focus on them until more good starts to happen. It really does work! The more you practice something, the better you become at it and that’s the same for focusing on the good things. You have to work at it!

I’ve been watching the Abraham Hicks DVD’s since then and here are a few things that they suggest that are really helpful to do each day:

  1. Meditate for 15 mins a day (this can be as simple of focusing on your breathing for that amount of time.If your mind wanders off your breathing, that’s ok, just bring it back to your breath)
  2. Acknowledge the beauty of nature all around you, the sky, the warm sun, the trees, the plants, the earth etc.
  3. Get a journal and start writing in it. Call it “The Book of Positive Aspects” and write about all the positive things that are happening in your life.

So what are all the good things that have been happening in your life? Please comment below. I would love to hear all the good things that have been going on.

If you think this post has been useful. Please share with your friends.

Here’s to making the world a better place!

WordPress a Great Tool for Reflection and Observation

BeautifulReflectionPhotography_009

When I look over the dates of my previous blogs, I notice that I am writing about once a month. I always feel like I am neglecting WordPress, when Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest etc are so instantaneous. But what I find interesting is that every-time I write a post on WordPress I feel so much better! It is a wonderful tool for reviewing what has been happening in my life, to monitor where I am at and where I am going. So here’s a reflection of what’s been happening over the past month, particularly to do with the Law of Attraction.

Ever since I started working on the Law of Attraction and learning to focus on what I do want, everything that I don’t want is coming to the surface!

I have certainly learnt a lot over the past few weeks about mind control. With Law of Attraction you need to ignore all the negative things happening and focus on the positive. It teaches you to become aware of the problems you are facing, but not give any energy or emotion to them. It doesn’t mean you can ignore the problem, because when issues come up you have to deal with them, but it is about training your mind to be neutral about the situation. Positive feelings are ok, like appreciating a tough situation for showing you what you need to learn, but applying negative emotion will keep you stuck in the problem. Also it will keep coming up until you learn to focus on it in a positive way.

I also think humor is a good way to distract you from the negative. I have been watching lots of funny videos to make me laugh and enjoy myself.

Happy learnings everyone!

Appreciation vs Gratitude

The penny finally dropped this week when I realized that once you start to Appreciate what you already have in your life, more good starts to flow into your existence!!

I’ve also learned from the Law of Attraction that Gratitude is different from Appreciation. I thought they were one and the same. But according to Abraham they are different.

Apparently Gratitude implies you have overcome a difficult situation. Seeing things from this perspective means that you are still focusing on the problem and not the solution.

Appreciation, however, is being happy with where you are at, regardless of the situation. It’s about seeing all of your experiences as a blessing, both the good and the bad.

Apparently once you Master this, then you are seeing through the eyes of Source or Unconditional Love.

So I have had to correct myself all week to stop from saying “I am Grateful for …..”, to “I Appreciate…..”. I must say it makes a huge difference to your psyche. It’s almost like a relief to focus on life this way. I have also felt a lot happier putting this into practice.

Here are some things I have been appreciating:

My brilliant, beautiful, kind and loving family,

My house,

The food we eat,

My car,

The blue sky and warm weather (we live in the tropics)

The amazing flowers I have seen when I walk the dogs

Our dogs

The kind, helpful people I have encountered this week

You wonderful people who read my Blog, Tweets, Facebook and Link-in posts!

WordPress, Google, You Tube, Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In!

My Apple iPhone, iPad and iMac!

So that’s what I have experienced. Let me know if you try out  ’being Appreciative vs being Grateful. I’d be interested to know what you experience too!

P.S. I’m now also going to be dedicating this blog and all my other social media avenues to ‘Appreciation of this Amazing Life’ and see what happens ;-)

I Don’t Know How!? ##****!

A few mornings ago I was focusing on all the problems in my life. Quite the opposite of what you are meant to be doing regarding the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction says that if you focus on the problem, it will create more of that problem. The key is be aware of the problem, but not give any energy to it. When there is a problem in your life it is a chance for you to realize that it’s not what you want and then search for what you do want.  Read More

A Mosquito Buzzed In My Ear!

Yesterday I asked the universe for a sign on how to deal with a few issues that keep re-occurring in my life. But I wasn’t expecting a mosquito to fly into my ear whilst I was in a deep sleep!

It gave me such a fright. The realization that you have a mosquito in your ear can be quite a shock. Luckily it flew out as I frantically jiggled my ear and shouted. (I’m surprised I didn’t wake anyone up in my family. They would have rushed in concerned that I was being attacked or something from loud yell I let out. Then I would have had to explain it was just a mosquito that flew into my ear!).

Obviously I wasn’t really paying attention to the signs that must have been popping up yesterday, so the only way to get my attention? Have a mosquito buzz in your ear! Lol!

But the message I received was crystal clear.  Read More

Accessing Positive Memories From Your Past to Create a Positive Future

I was lying in bed at 4am wide awake and I was reflecting on the past days events when an amazing thought popped into my head.

I had been thinking about how I use my memory. I would say 80% of the time when I access a memory of a past event, it would be about what had gone wrong in that situation. This not only causes me stress and anxiety but also (if you believe in the Law of Attraction), sets up a chain of events to carry that negative thought into the present moment and attract it into my future (if that thought is repeated over and over, which then forms a belief) .

Then it came to me, like an epiphany! What, if when you think about that same event, you focus on the positive aspect of it? Read More

Abraham, The Law of Attraction and Resistance

It’s funny how synchronicity works! I recently picked up my old copy of ‘Ask and it is Given’, by Esther and Jerry Hicks. For anyone who doesn’t know this book, it is about the Law of Attraction and is the channelled information of Abraham. When I first bought this book many years ago, I couldn’t read it. None of it made sense to me and I kept falling asleep every time I tried (not sure if that happens to anyone else?). Now many years on and haven grown spiritually, I was amazed to pick this book up again, be able to read and understand everything that it was saying!

I wanted to share one thing in the book, that has really helped me to sort out negative and positive thinking.

There is a scale of your emotions in the Book, from those that give us the greatest connection to Source energy (or however you call it) and those that don’t. Here they are:

1. Joy/Knowledge/Empowerment/Freedom/Love/Appreciation

2. Passion

3. Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness

4. Positive Expectation/Belief

5. Optimism

6. Hopefulness

7. Contentment

8. Boredom

9. Pessimism

10. Frustration/Irritation/Impatience

11. “Overwhelment”

12. Disappointment

13. Doubt

14. Worry

15. Blame

16. Discouragement

17. Anger

18. Revenge

19. Hatred/Rage

20. Jealousy

21. Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness

22. Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness

The trick with this scale is to look at where you are at with your emotions and begin to work your way up the scale from the negative emotions to the more positive. According to the Law of Attraction the more we resist our connection to Source Energy, the more we cut off the flow to all the wonderful things that our available to us. So if we are at the lowest end of the scale in Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness about a certain situation and we begin to feel angry about that situation, then we have moved up the scale from 22 to 17. So the more we move up the scale to better feeling thoughts, the closer we get to our connection to Source Energy and achieving what we really want for that situation.

Here’s an example:

You feel depressed (22.) that you cannot find the job you really want.

So you begin to feel angry (17.) that you don’t like the job you are in and the people you work with.

You begin to blame (15.) everyone for where you are at with your job.

You feel “overwhelment (11.)” that you can’t do everything in your job description.

You decide you want to find a new job, but you feel impatient (10.) when you start looking and nothing happens.

Then you come across a job description that you like and you begin to feel hopefulness (6.) that you might apply for and get that job.

You begin to imagine yourself in that job and begin to feel happiness (3.).

You apply for the job and become impatient (10.) that you haven’t had a response.

But you still keep your focus on feelings of hopefulness (6.) and happiness (3.)

You know you have passion (2.) for this job.

Finally you get a response asking you to come in for an interview. You love (1.) the people you meet and have an appreciation for what they do (1.). They see your enthusiasm, happiness and love for the job.

Guess what?

Source Energy delivers you what you want!

You get the job!!

I know this is a simplistic view how to  go about things and there is a lot more in the Book that gives you many tools and techniques to continually help you reach those higher vibration feelings. But the simple thing is the more you reach for those higher feeling vibrations, the more you will get what you want to come into your life.

By figuring out what you don’t want (lower negative thoughts/emotions), it helps you to figure out what you do want (positive thoughts/emotions) and to bring those things into your life.

So what’s happening in your life that you would like to change?
