WordPress a Great Tool for Reflection and Observation

BeautifulReflectionPhotography_009

When I look over the dates of my previous blogs, I notice that I am writing about once a month. I always feel like I am neglecting WordPress, when Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest etc are so instantaneous. But what I find interesting is that every-time I write a post on WordPress I feel so much better! It is a wonderful tool for reviewing what has been happening in my life, to monitor where I am at and where I am going. So here’s a reflection of what’s been happening over the past month, particularly to do with the Law of Attraction.

Ever since I started working on the Law of Attraction and learning to focus on what I do want, everything that I don’t want is coming to the surface!

I have certainly learnt a lot over the past few weeks about mind control. With Law of Attraction you need to ignore all the negative things happening and focus on the positive. It teaches you to become aware of the problems you are facing, but not give any energy or emotion to them. It doesn’t mean you can ignore the problem, because when issues come up you have to deal with them, but it is about training your mind to be neutral about the situation. Positive feelings are ok, like appreciating a tough situation for showing you what you need to learn, but applying negative emotion will keep you stuck in the problem. Also it will keep coming up until you learn to focus on it in a positive way.

I also think humor is a good way to distract you from the negative. I have been watching lots of funny videos to make me laugh and enjoy myself.

Happy learnings everyone!

Are Your Thoughts Focused on Lack or Abundance?

There have been quite a lot of instances lately where I’ve noticed that what people are thinking is focused on lack. For example “I can’t afford it, it’s too expensive, please can you lend me some money? etc. I often hear myself saying these things too! It’s a world wide pattern I think. As I was pondering about this situation a thought popped into my head (again! I know!). Wouldn’t it be wonderful if people all over the world knew that they could have anything they wanted, if they were shown how to change their thinking from the negative to the positive?  Read More

I Don’t Know How!? ##****!

A few mornings ago I was focusing on all the problems in my life. Quite the opposite of what you are meant to be doing regarding the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction says that if you focus on the problem, it will create more of that problem. The key is be aware of the problem, but not give any energy to it. When there is a problem in your life it is a chance for you to realize that it’s not what you want and then search for what you do want.  Read More

An Angry Heart

Yesterday, I was standing in the check out queue at the supermarket (as I often do). While I am waiting I like to observe what is going on around me.

I noticed this beautifully dressed, obviously wealthy woman at another counter. At first it was how she was dressed that caught my attention. She was wearing a lovely fashionable orange coloured dress, expensive bag and shoes. But as I looked at her face and body language I realized she was angry. As I watched her interact with the people at the counter and who she was with, I could see there was no reason for her to be angry. She wasn’t complaining to the shop assistant about anything, she was just angry. Her whole energy and Aura was one of anger.  Read More

Who’d Have Thought a Small Brown Fluff Ball Could Teach Me About Leadership?!

We have a new puppy! His name is Coco. My son wanted a dog as his big sister has a rabbit and a hamster. Eddie doesn’t usually ask for much, so we agreed on the grounds he would help care for it.  Read More

C.G Jung – The World Within

I came across this youtube video of an interview with Carl Jung. It’s about 40 minutes long, but well worth watching as the wisdom he has about life is astounding. He was definitely ahead of his time!!

James (Jim) Lionel Harris 1939-2012 (My Amazing Father-in-Law)

My Father-In-Law passed away on the 9th of June and we are all grieving the loss of his physical presence. He was an amazing man! He was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy in 1972 and it may be possible that he was the longest surviving person of this condition. He was 73. He was an incredibly strong man and no matter how much he suffered with his condition, he never complained. It didn’t stop him from living the best possible life he could, whether that was operating the radio at the local Volunteer Marine Rescue on the Gold Coast, Australia, furthering his vast knowledge about coins and stamps, taking the grandkids for rides on his motorised wheelchair, tending to his veggie garden and fruit trees or watching the football. Even though he did all this and much more, he always had time to sit and have a cup of tea and a chat to anyone who wanted to. His perception of everything happening around him was incredible, even though he never let on with what he knew. He had a funny sense of humour and a quick wit. There were many wonderful stories about the funny things he used to get up to with friends and family, that were shared by all at his funeral. We will all miss him tremendously.

I’ve observed some interesting things that happen when someone passes. Firstly we remember the all good things about them. All differences of opinions, arguments, disagreements get swept aside as we focus on all the positive things that the person who has passed achieved with their life. Tremendous love and support is given from friends and family to help those that are grieving. The prevalence of love, kindness, caring and support at Jim’s funeral was incredible! It was a real celebration of his life, rather than a commiseration.

When someone close to us dies, it is only natural to grieve. It is part of our emotional makeup that misses them in physical form. But it also a reminder for us to live the best possible life here on earth and to make the most of every experience we have. I also think it is important for us to know that they are always guiding us with love and support from the spiritual realm. It gives us a sense of comfort and reassurance if we know this. The day after Jim passed, there was the most beautiful rainbow.

We knew it was a sign from Jim that he was ok. It gave us all a great sense of comfort to know that he was happy and free from the pain and discomfort he had suffered leading up to his passing.

So I think it is good to remember, that those that we love are not gone from this life forever. Only in the physical sense. I firmly believe a person’s soul, the very essence of who they are, still lives on, helping to guide others with love and support.

Thank you Jim! We Love You! xx

How Do You Measure Your Self Worth?

How do you measure your self worth? Is it from feedback from others? It is your own internal feedback? If you are getting that feedback from others or yourself how does it appear? In a negative or positive way?

I have been observing this lately in others and I’ve noticed that many of us measure our own level of self worth from what others think of us. Maybe this is a natural human reaction in order to help provide us with feedback about our own sense of self and learning, but I’ve noticed that it is often more negative than positive. I see it everywhere, in the media, in organisations, in hospitals, in our family and friends. I guess it’s our own internal suffering that we go through sometimes in order to learn. But does it always have to be that way?

I’ve noticed it in myself. Whenever I have an internal negative dialogue in my head, circumstances conspire to give me back that negative feedback. Our external life truly is a mirror of our internal life. Sometimes that feedback is instantaneous and sometimes it is delayed in its delivery. Children are brilliant at giving back this feedback. I can’t tell you how many times I have felt insecurity about my parenting of the kids, only to have this affirmed! :-)

So I think it is really important to regularly affirm positive things about ourselves.  Here are some that I think are good.

I am worthy of Love

I am happy

I am content

I am peaceful

I am a good person

I am loving

I am loved

Great things are happening to me

I love my life

Life is good

I appreciate my life

I appreciate all the wonderful experiences that my life presents to me, both good and bad. It’s all learning.

I am patient with myself and others

I have a great life

I am happy and healthy

I am abundant in so many ways

There are millions of positive affirmations and this is just an example, but the more you practise these, the better you begin to feel.

Abraham Hicks says that 17 seconds of pure positive thought is equivalent to 20,000 hours of action! So what are you waiting for? :-)

Have a Great Day! xx

Love is the Only Reality

“Love is the only reality and it is not a mere sentiment. It is the ultimate truth that lies at the heart of creation.”

Rabindranath Tagore (Indian Poet, Playwright and Essayist, Won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913)

I woke up the this morning, finally understanding what this really means. Love Is at the Heart of Everything. Everything that doesn’t come from Love, doesn’t exist. It’s just an Illusion. So every time we get caught up in the drama of this life, just remind yourself that it’s not real. I know it’s a tough one as we all get caught up in the Illusions of our lives! I am no exception. All of us are here to learn that one.

So What do I mean by it’s all an Illusion? Well there is always some drama/fear that we are playing out e.g. I am not rich enough, I am not worthy enough, I am not good enough, it’s all their fault etc and it always feels so real! But if you can train your mind to change that thinking to say I am rich, I am worthy, I am good enough, I am loved, it Will show up.

Our beliefs (a thought that we keep thinking over and over again) plays a big part in whether we believe the negative Illusion (e.g. I am not rich enough, I am not worthy enough….) or the Reality (I am rich, I am worthy….).

So which do you want? The Illusion? or the Reality?
